Emily and Travis were such an amazing couple to work with. Travis wanted something with a lot of landscape and desert themed where Emily wanted backlighting and some gorgeous sunset photos. We found a great compromise at Enchanted Rock in Texas and hiked to the top of this state park to get these amazing color filled shots of them dancing across the top of a rock mountain.

I have to admit I nearly passed out from this hike, but the images were well worth it!  Travis and Emily are big outdoor people and this was VERY apparent when they went off the normal trail (the easy part of the hike) and went onto the….. we’ll just say the trail less taken (the part of the trail that ONLY avid hikers take because you might die from exhaustion).  Once we got to the top of Enchanted Rock I actually had to tell them “I need five minutes to catch my breath y’all….” and they just started laughing at me.

They brought their adorable dog Penny who just wanted to be in every photo we took, which is always great for me!  Don’t get me wrong there were times where Penny was looking at me with this look of “what are you doing to my mom and dad?” but she was a trooper through that shoot.
