Here’s the deal- I got so many amazing images and we had a couple outfit changes so I’m sharing these images in a few different blog posts so be sure to check back for the rest of the shoot!
I first met Kimberly about a year ago when she asked me to shoot her nursing school grad photos and we hit it off right from the beginning. Kimberly is so much fun and such a sweet person BUT she also does amazing in front of a camera. Of course she’s beautiful which is very apparent but she’s that person who ‘just gets it’- she knows her angles, she knows her lighting, and she knows the importance of candidness so her images always some out looking amazing. She loves that light and airy/backlit/golden look that I have so we of course get along just fine.
When I first saw she met Granger I thought two things: First was happiness that she met someone who looked at her the same way she looked at him. Second was the secret hope that she’ll ask me to take her engagement photos- yeah I said it…. I wanted to be the one to take her engagement photos.
Fast forward to our engagement session. Kimberly is my kind of girl that she thinks big and she is up for anything so I knew Granger would be the same way. Lo and behold I was wrong- Granger was better than that! Here’s the deal with my guys during any sort of photoshoot situation- there’s a threshold that they reach where they just tap out because they’ve reached their limit.
My brides are usually in it to win it- they don’t care how long it takes or what they have to do to get their shot. They ARE GOING TO GET THOSE BEAUTIFUL IMAGES. However, Guys go one of two ways:
They’re just kind of….. there…… they don’t have a bad attitude, but you can tell they’re just not into it so I have to really encourage them during our session.
OR they are secretly having a ton of fun but just don’t want to admit it. Granger was fantastic and was one of the best soon to be grooms I have worked with. He was loving all over Kimberly, had a great attitude, and didn’t run out of steam which came out in their images.
These two are true Texans, so much fun to be around, and I cannot wait to work with you two again!
