A beautiful vintage boho wedding in San Antonio, Texas?
Yeah. It’s possible… and I photographed it.
Humberto and Isaac’s vintage boho vibe wedding was something I was so excited about shooting from the beginning. Their wedding was a bit last minute and did not have a ton of guests, but we made it just as special and as if they had hundreds of guests.
They essentially did all of the decor themselves, but a special thank you to Bovin Rentals for providing some extra decor! The chairs not matching was something that, surprisingly enough, I actually really liked. It doesn’t sound like it would work, but it totally did. I’m reticent to say that if all of the chairs had been matching it wouldn’t have been as epic as it was, but I’m going to come out and say that it wouldn’t have been.
Their private venue was not far from the Espada Mission so we started with some couple photos there prior to the ceremony. They brought their two dogs which I loved because anyone who knows me can attest that I am a huge animal lover. It took me about three seconds to realize that Humberto and Isaac were going to be a very affectionate couple which is exactly what I want in my couples- the couples that are not afraid of PDA and won’t stop touching each other. There were a couple moments where I had to say “Woah! Hang on guys! Not so much!” which was honestly such a great aspect of these two.
I still find it hard to believe that they haven’t had a ton of couple photos done because I essentially was there pushing my shutter button because they did not need any direction or guidance. They were the couple that “just gets it”. Since COVID-19 has essentially cancelled… the world…. they decided to do a live facebook video for their ceremony which I thought was fantastic and I’m sure their friends and family appreciated.
Humberto and Isaac, thank you for letting me capture your special day. You two are fantastic and so much fun to work with!
